• KRISTEN WAS 'NERVOUS AS HELL' TO KISS TAYLOR

While "Twilight Saga" sweetie Kristen Stewart doesn't have to do any stunts in the vampire battle in "Eclipse," she faced an equally challenging scene -- a very passionate and extended kiss with Taylor Lautner. And she confessed how nervous she was about kissing Lautner at the "Eclipse" press junket on Saturday (June 12).

"I just stand behind people who are stronger than me," she admits. "One of the most challenging scenes was kissing Jacob for real, finally for the first time, and seeing there was a different road to go down that was desirable as well." She admits she was "nervous as hell about it" because of how important the scene was and how different the kiss was from any other in the film. If you took out all the mythical characters -- the vampires and werewolves -- Kristen thinks "Twilight" would still stand as a fascinating human love story.

"I think it's just about how whole the characters are. ... I don't think it [the films' success] has anything to do with the vampires."

Asked about the very, very tight close-up shots in "Eclipse," she admits that she always asks their director of photography, Javier Aguirresarobe: "'Hey, how close are you?' Most actors are crazy and neurotic and don't want to know that the camera is up their nose, but it's good to know." She also reveals that she has known for ages that "Breaking Dawn" would be two movies and she's glad she can finally talk about it. The shoot will actually be six months long! And she's totally psyched about becoming -- and playing -- a vampire, and a very powerful one at that.

"I can't wait to have a kid and get married," she says. "I think [Bella] will be the coolest vampire of all of them -- nothing can touch her and she can protect the whole clan," she explains, adding that it will be "awesome to see the change from a 17-year-old girl.... to become this matriarch."

Kristen says she's not sure if the films' ratings will be more than PG-13 due to the graphic nature of the sex scenes in the final book. Her bet is that the film will not go down that road. Robert Pattinson has told reporters that he thinks the films should be dark and they should just "go for it."

• KRISTEN'S INTERVIEW WITH ET

Chills, thrills, and of course, romance! 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' promises excitement galore, and ET is with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner as they dish about their views on marriage and sharing onscreen smooches.

In the film, Bella (Stewart) continues her quest to evade vampire Victoria (played in 'Eclipse' by Bryce Dallas Howard), who is bent on vengeance after Edward (Pattinson) killed her main squeeze James in the first 'Twilight.' Bella is also confronted with a choice -- does she want to spend eternity with vampire Edward, or will she choose a human life with werewolf Jacob (Lautner)?

In the beginning of 'Eclipse,' Edward has just proposed to Bella and is waiting on her answer. Stewart comments on her personal feelings toward marriage, telling ET, "It's kind of sad that people cringe at the word marriage but it's totally common. It is just our generation. ... Maybe if you're in the right place, it could be the right thing for you."

Stewart has a few kissing scenes in the sequel with both Pattinson and Lautner. "Whenever there's a kiss, there's always an awkwardness in the scene," Pattinson says of the smooches. "I guess it's not so nerve racking anymore."

The actress adds, "Kisses in movies tend to be a little awkward because you have to show the camera that you're kissing and typically if you just do it naturally, it's the back of your head."

Lautner also had some awkward moments on set, telling ET, "It is uncomfortable sometimes mainly because I'm the only person on the entire set without a shirt."

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' hits theaters on June 30.

• NO WEST END FOR KSTEW

Kristen Stewart's spokesperson has brushed off reports the Twilight actress is in talks to land a West End role.

The 20 year old was said to be planning to head to the London stage once she finishes work on her upcoming movies, which include the vampire franchise's two-part conclusion The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and On the Road, with Kirsten Dunst.

Stewart had reportedly met with famed West End producer David Pugh, who worked with Daniel Radcliffe on Equus, to discuss a list of possible plays.

But her rep has denied the claims, telling GossipCop.com the story is "not true".

• KRISTEN REFLECTS ON ECLIPSE & LOOKS FORWARD TO BD

Kristen Stewart has come a long way from the nervous and little known indie star on the verge of stardom promoting the first "Twilight" film. It took the 18-year-old quite awhile to adjust to being the central figure in the vampire movie phenomenon, but since last November's "New Moon" she's seemed more confident and at ease with not only discussing her work, but her life and opinions.

After having to portray a heartbroken Bella Swan in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," the third installment of the series finds our heroine also more at peace, but having to juggle competing interests from her true love Edward (Robert Pattinson) and non-vampire admirer Jacob (Taylor Lautner). Speaking about "Eclipse" this past weekend, Stewart told HitFix Bella basically had to experience enough life lessons to really justify the choice she makes in the movie.

"This is the point where she should actually become equipped enough to make all these decisions," Stewart say. "And I know she's done that in every movie she's been like, 'No, I know what I want,' but I dunno I feel like she has to go through the things she's gone through to sound like she knows what she's talking about. She needs to grow up a bit. The fog, the haze that Edward creates around her [in 'New Moon'] fades in 'Eclipse' and I think it's really important for her to realize she's choosing to be with him and that she doesn't have to be with him."

But, Stewart adds, "It was exciting to play with Taylor, just because she finally sees Jacob, she finally sees what the audience sees. So there was like a lot of new things to play."

While universal reaction to "Eclipse" seems much more positive than the critically derided "New Moon," fans are already anticipating the final chapter in the series being broken out in a two-part "Breaking Dawn" picture. HitFix asked Stewart what she thought filmmaker Bill Condon ("Dreamgirls," "Gods and Monsters") would bring to the final two installments.

"I don't know yet. I had one meeting with him and it was awesome, so cool," Stewart volunteers. "He was talking a lot about -- because we've had to cram so much story into one time, you miss a lot of nuanced stuff for fans and readers of the book. Just the little things have to go. Those are the first things skimmed off the top and this one. And I think he's going to put it back in Bella's head [for 'Breaking Dawn']."

What concerns Stewart most, it seems, is getting more of Stephenie Meyers' writing onto the screen. Stewart is hoping the Oscar-winning screenwriter can assist Melissa Rosenberg in making that happen in the last two films.

"A lot of people thought they felt that, like, from 'Eclipse' they thought it was a little bit more first person, like it was a little more character driven or whatever, but I think he's gonna do a really good job of letting the story filter out without slamming you over the head with it," Stewart says. "Not that we've done that, but I feel like some of my expositional lines which are not in the book because we are telling the story, we're not gonna have to do any of that because we have more time. I can't wait to get some of the details back in, y'know what I mean?

You can watch the video of our interview embedded above the copy on this page. Stewart also talks about her first LA "Twilight" convention, working with Billy Burke and goes into intricate detail on how blonde her hair will really be for Walter Sales' "On the Road." And yes fans, it will be blonde.
